Director of Analog/Mixed Signal Engineering (P302)
As the Director of our Analog / Mixed Signal Engineering team, you will be responsible for leading this critical circuit design group through some of the most challenging
design issues we face, as well as keeping yourself actively involved in designing circuits and architectures and making decisions on our overall technology direction.
Specific Opportunities and Responsibilities:
- Act as a player/coach to the design team with an emphasis on designing high speed, high linearity analog and mixed signal circuits.
- Design novel RF communications architectures for radio-frequency power amplifiers.
- Design transistor-level integrated circuits in SiGe, BiCMOS, and CMOS processes.
- Provide technical leadership to layout, test, and manufacturing personnel throughout prototyping and production phases.
- Provide technical leadership in the evaluation and selection of advanced IC, MMIC, and packaging technologies.
- Develop the design schedules, manage the technical team, and work with vendors to support program and company goals.
Requirements:
- MSEE + 10 years (or equivalent) IC design experience.
- Familiarity with discrete-time and continuous-time design, simulation and modeling issues.
- Familiarity with current-mode logic circuits, such as frequency multipliers and active filters.
- Hands-on experience designing and shipping high-volume commercial communications ICs that operate at GHz frequencies.
- Experience designing transistor-level circuits in state-of-the-art high speed CMOS, BiCMOS, or SiGe processes.
- Experience developing and modeling complex architectures in a variety of commercially available tools such as Matlab, Mathcad, or Omnisys, and reducing the same to practice with industry standard platform tools such as Cadence or ADS.
- Hands-on measurement experience solving difficult die-level design problems in products shipped in high volume.
- Familiarity with Bandpass Delta Sigma Modulators is a definite plus.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and teaming skills commensurate with a Director-level position in a start-up environment.
