Senior RF Applications Engineer (P311) — Austin
Specific Opportunities and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with customers, engineering and manufacturing teams to develop reference designs and new product applications.
- Provide technical support and interface to customers. Work closely with customers during initial evaluation, product qualification and follow-on design applications.
- Create and maintain product application notes and datasheets along with other associated product collateral.
- Development evaluation units and execute characterization tests.
- Significant travel to customer locations will be required, between 25% and 50%.
Requirements:
- BSEE + 5 years (or equivalent) RF applications experience.
- Knowledge of cellular base station architecture, product qualification procedures and CDMA standards and systems is required.
- Proven experience working with customers on analyzing RF circuits and components for wireless infrastructure equipment.
- Experience with transmit lineups including high power RF amplifiers.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
- Experience in engineering validation, testing, and debugging.
- Working knowledge of RF circuits, RF tools, and laboratory test equipment is a plus.
- Skilled in RF measurement techniques such as - IP3, 1dB compression, ACPR, EVM, etc. and using RF development tools such as ADS.
