Press Release
PulseWave RF Completes Successful Demonstration of Industry's First Digital Power Amplifier Module for Wireless Base Stations

Ground-Breaking Technology Will Integrate Amplifier, Linearization and Up-Conversion Functions to Reduce Base Station Cost, Size and Power Consumption

AUSTIN, Texas - March 13, 2006 — PropheSi TechnologiesTM, Inc., a provider of semiconductor modules for high-efficiency wireless infrastructure power amplifiers, today announced it has changed its name to PulseWave RFTM and that it has successfully demonstrated its digital multi-carrier power amplifier (MCPA) module, which enables the industry's first digital power amplifier for use in wireless base stations. Founded in 2002 and staffed by executives and engineers with previous experience at Motorola, Peregrine Semiconductor, Spectrian and Andrew Corporation, PulseWave RF selected its new name to reflect the digital nature of the company's next-generation power amplifier technology.

Since its inception, PulseWave RF has focused development efforts on helping wireless base station equipment manufacturers move analog amplifiers into the digital age. The company's new technology, named Class M Power, is an MCPA digital multi-chip module that integrates all amplifier, linearization and up-conversion functionality into a 2 1/4" x 2 3/4" (60 mm x 70 mm) package. The new PulseWave RF technology can significantly reduce the cost, size and power consumption of wireless infrastructure base stations for CDMA and 3G infrastructure amplifier markets as well as the emerging markets for WiMAX and other future standards.

"We've recently completed successful lab tests of the industry's first digital wireless base station power amplifier module and we will begin sampling the modules in the second quarter of this year," said Graham Haddock, president and CEO of PulseWave RF. "Our Class M Power module is the key enabler for a simple, low cost digital transmitter with industry leading performance metrics." Mr. Haddock also added that, "we have only begun to realize the potential of this new architecture."

Additional details on the digital power amplifier modules will be available in the second quarter.
