PropheSi Technologies Picks Up $8 Million in Series B Funding

Infusion to Accelerate Development of Digital Amplification Technology

AUSTIN, Texas - Oct. 14, 2005 — PropheSi Technologies, Inc., a provider of semiconductor components for high-efficiency wireless infrastructure power amplifiers, today announced it closed an $8 million Series B funding round co-led by Austin Ventures and Bay Partners with additional investment from Genesis Campus. PropheSi will use the funding to commercialize its digital power amplifier module for the wireless industry.

"While most companies in this market attempt to make small incremental improvements to traditional amplifiers, PropheSi's veteran team has developed an entirely new digital approach, which will provide industry leading performance and cost," said Clark Jernigan, principal, Austin Ventures. "We expect this technology to not only rewrite the rules of the game in the very large CDMA and 3G infrastructure amplifier markets, but also to enable new system architectures in emerging broadband wireless and future 4G standards."

"PropheSi is leading the market in developing the first true digital amplifier module that will deliver superior levels of integration. PropheSi's digital power module will also be self-linearizing, which will radically simplify the design and manufacture of wireless infrastructure power amplifiers," said Graham Haddock, president and CEO of PropheSi. "This new round of support from our world-class investors will help us bring these unique digital amplification solutions to market more rapidly."
